I am so happy I read this book. It was a tremendous encouragement at just the right time in the life of my daughter and I. Any father that cares enough about his daughter to be reading books on the subject will probably be tremendously encouraged by this book, and will also enjoy the statistical, scientific, and anecdotal evidence for raising a daughter in a manner in which he is probably already engaged. I've read a good deal of parenting books, but this is the first I've read regarding the specific relationship of a father and daughter, and the specifics were very much appreciated. 

If you're a dad who believes that your daughter needs active, loving, parental participation and guidance throughout their teen years and well into their early 20's, you'll enjoy this book. If you're a dad that believes that girls tend to find their own way by their later teen years and you shouldn't interfere, then this book is DEFINITELY a must read, because it will shatter any notion you have that your approach is healthy for your daughter. And I would argue that it would also give a strong argument that daughters don't even want to be left to their own devices.

An excellent read for all dads.
