Meh. It felt like being 13-going-on-14 again: in turn earnest, pretentious, self-centered, kind, dull, weird, repeat. So kudos for getting that right, but I wasn't really feeling it.

I found this super easy to read and was light-hearted. Anyone of any age can get something out of this book

It’s been a long time since I read (well, in this case, listened) to this book. It stands the test of time pretty well and is very clever in parts. Sure some of the 1980s references might be a bit lost on younger readers now but they are well enough known things to be looked up easily.

Enjoyed it for some escapism even though I knew the story.
