I received Portraits of Celina from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Bayley sees her father’s death and afterwards her mother decides to move back to the previous home of Celina O’Malley the cousin of Bayley’s mother. Forty years prior when Celina was sixteen she disappeared. Bayley finds Celina’s clothes and strange things start happening. Everyone thinks Bayley looks like Celina. The question is, what happened to Celina? Bayley gets a look at what happened to Celina. 

It is a really good intriguing story. I guess what happened prior to it being revealed but I don’t think that diminished the story. I’ve read other books that were similar to this one. I enjoyed Bayley’s character and her interactions with Oliver. The family had a lot to deal with after the Death of Bayley’s father. 

I gave Portraits of Celina 4 stars. It is a very good book for YA readers. Once you get into the story you want to know the outcome. It has a great group of characters and is very well written.

This is a fantastic mystery book that grasps you firmly into the plot and can't put down. It has a great balance of unexpected romance and ghostly adventures, with an unanticipated twist which leaves you with goose bumps.
