Really CLICHÉ.
Timid girl that has been oppressed her whole life has been forced to mary a war hero and he's strong, impulsive and gorgeous.
Love that the love interest is a POC HOWEVERRRRR not a fan of the Mary sue trope. Sorry not sorry. This wasn't a good read for me.

3.75 ⭐️! The premise isn't so bad, I just didn't like the art style so much, and I still have no idea where the storyline is really being directed, though it's understandable that I'm reading the manhwa and I have no idea about the light novels and riftan's pov, but nevertheless it was an enjoyable read.

I got an ad for the Webtoon version of this book and decided to install the app and gobbled it up. 

I needed more so I purchased all 5 parts of Book 1 and now I have to wait for Book 2 to be translated 😭 I haven't felt this way about a story in SUCH A LONG TIME!

I love every single character. They're so endearing, especially the knights, squires, and Ruth.

There's so much angst and anguish when it comes to the two main characters. I love them so much and I hope everyone survives at the end of the story. Please God protect our babies! 🥲🙏🏼

I really loved the Princess as a character too. I really thought she was gonna turn out to be a basic two-faced bitch who tries to steal the love interest from the main character, but I was so pleasantly surprised. She was a confident, strong-willed, and charming person. She had such great energy.

My favorite part of the story is the banter and the conversations between the main cast of characters. Nothing seems forced, and their relationships grow naturally at a perfect pace. 

Ruth is a standout. He was such a great character, and I'm SO GLAD that the author didn't try to make him a love interest of Maxi's and turn it into a love triangle during the first few parts. Their friendship is everything to me, and I love how honest he is always with her. I love how the Remdragon Knights grow to care for Maxi.

I'm seriously debating on re-reading the entire thing again because I miss all the characters already.

Waiting for second book to come up soon. It's really slow burn romance with quite some character development that I really look forward.

The s is my guilty pleasure. Is it brilliant? No. Does it have sex scenes? Yes. And abuse? Yes. Does the mc have a stutter like Y/N? Yeah. Did I finish it, and like a week later read it all over again in a single sitting? YES!!!

I just live the dynamic of Riftan, who seems grumpy, and Maxi, who doubts herself. I love their relationship, how Riftan is in LOVE with Maxi, and the growth Maxi goes through. I love how the people treat her and love her. It's just too good!
