The book essentially follows Penryn as she struggles to survive in this horror film come to reality with a mother that speaks to devils in her sleep and a wheelchair-bound sister. 

One night, her sister gets ripped out of her hands and she's left with nothing but a wingless angel halfway to death and decides to use him to get back to her sister.

I’m surprised by how much I loved this book. 
I haven’t read dystopian in so long but this one is so good and a must read. It’s best to go into it knowing as little as possible.

loved it!! cried during the ending, because it was just heartbreaking ugh, definitely one of my favourite reads this year!

I binged this whole trilogy in four days and I had a great time doing it. 

I took a few years off from reading dystopian books after the big dystopia surge in the early 2010's but this brought me right back to that and I really enjoyed it. 

If you want an interesting dystopian romance filled with an angel apocalypse and a girl kicking ass and saving her loved ones - this is a series you should read.
