This was a very sweet, steamy novella. I don't believe I recognized any of the characters from other Fool's Gold books, but I could just be forgetting where. The main characters are endearing and charming, and have great chemistry. The story is very entertaining. So much can happen at weddings with huge families. Totally recommend it if you're looking for a quick, sweet, yet steamy read.

We all should know by now that I love Susan Mallery. I credit Susan Mallery for inspiring me on this book-reviewing adventure. I typically have a hard time fitting in books I just want to read (don’t be alarmed, I want to read ALL of the books) because of my TBR list usually coming from the library. I don’t add older books very often, but I recently decided I wanted to read Mallery’s backlist. This novella is #2.5 of the Fool’s Gold series, the series that made Mallery a bestselling author and one of the most beloved romance writers today. 
	Fool’s Gold is a small town in California (not a real town). While the other Fool’s Gold books follow many of the residents, this book is set during a weekend wedding and introduces entirely new characters. It’s super short (which was a relief after I polished off ten 400+ books, I needed a short read), and it actually felt pretty rushed. Katie and Jackson managed to meet (again), fall in love, and get engaged all in a four-day time span while at Katie’s sister’s wedding. I understand that sometimes relationships move quickly, but this one felt a little too quick. Especially because it was all during Katie’s sister’s wedding weekend (they even got engaged during the reception, I would have been irritated). It was exceptionally stressful for Katie, and everybody knows it’s a bad idea to make important decisions under duress. 
	Regardless, I enjoyed it, I love love stories.
