Clara’s journey is beautiful to watch unfold. I love the twists and turns throughout the story. I can usually predict pretty well, but she definitely surprised me many times. 
And having lived through 9/11, Taryn’s journey was especially interesting to me too. 
Now I really want to see that scarf!!!

I really enjoyed this book. There were many themes in it that I will be pondering for some time: an 'in between place' that we retreat to when dealing with tragedy and how you can get stuck there; objects that have a history and story to tell - do we pay enough attention to that story?; across centuries some human stories repeat themselves, although we sometimes feel like what we experience has never been experienced before.
I look forward to my book group discussion about this one!

I've made it my life's goal to read any and everything that mentions the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire so when I stumbled across this book, I was excited to see what it was about. It's a beautiful story about hope, love, and the courage to move forward with your life despite facing tragedy and adversity. I would highly recommend this book to history and romance buffs, as it is laden with historical accuracies and heart warming messages.
