This one of the books that best represented what bullying is like and how it feels like for people who are different, who are afraid to speak up. It's a wonderful read recommended for all the ones that think of themselves superior than others, and for the ones that are too intimidated to stand up and say what they think. (I wish I'd read this four years ago when my entire classroom ignored me and bullied me)

The writting was awesome and the author delivers de message she intended accurately.

           I definitely enjoyed this book. To me, a book's rating should be rated based off of how much the reader enjoyed the book, not how well written the book was, or how complex because, in the end, no one wants to read a boring book. And this book was definitely not boring. But there were some things in it that didn't make sense and bothered me, as well as other readers I assume, based from their reviews. In the book, the main character, Noelle, says there is not enough food to eat, but through out the story, her mother feeds her meals at their table continuously. Could these meals be classified as healthy? Probably not. But it's still food, and Noelle was VERY far from starvation or poverty. Yes, maybe she didn't have nice clothes and yes, maybe she had to eat frozen veggies. Her mother was quite vexing, but she still fed her daughter. Colasanti made it seem as if the mother was neglecting Noelle, but feeding frozen meals is not neglect, it's just what you have to do if you don't make enough money. She needs to pay the rent, not but fancy foods. Noelle just saw what everyone else had, and wanted it. She pitied herself and because she didn't love herself she assumed no one did, including her mother.*This is not wrong but she blamed her mother very much and made herself seem overly poor, when she had plenty of food. If she was as hungry as she acted, she would've used her babysitting money to buy food. Anyway, I enjoyed reading this book, it just didn't make sense in a lot of ways.
