Baffled at some points but I still really enjoyed it

I really liked this book and the communication between Dane and Vienna.
I really liked that as soon as there were any problems or something happened, one of the main characters would tell the other which meant that there weren’t any misunderstandings or if there were, they were always short.
I liked all the side characters and how they each had their own personality, but I thought that some of them could have been shown more. For example, I wanted to see more of Vienna’s foster parents and her dad. Also, Dane never actually meets Freddie and I wanted to see him interact with Deacon and Maggie more too.
The only thing that bothered me in this book was how Vienna’s foster sister got away with everything. She’d get warnings from her parents but there was no real punishment for her. I know that eventually Dane does something but it’s not actually shown.
At the beginning Dane said that his fund was sentimental and I thought that it meant that there were things for him and not just money but since nothing like that was mentioned, I’m guessing that meant that he only inherited money.
I really liked this book and I wanted it to be longer so that I could read more about Dane and Vienna. I can’t wait to read more of this author’s standalones.

4.5⭐️

where can I get a Dane davenport

all i’ll say the communication and the characters…? are amazing. I NEED BOOKS OF THEIR KIDS. now. THATS ALL IMAAA SAY 🙏🏻🙏🏻

It was a good book, age gap, miscommunication, marriage of convenience, which we love. Also very dominant, protective male character. 4/5 star review, spice rating 3.8/5.

« They’re my rings on her finger. It’s my name she’s taken. It’s my bed she shares. She is mine. So whether you care for her or not isn’t fucking relevant.

I'll be honest, I started this book with very low expectations not really thinking I'll like it, but holy shit did it surprise me in such a good way😩 I LOVED THIS SO MUCH that makes me just want to scream because we absolutely love a man who communicates!!!

I was looking for marriage of convenience. Got that. But also got a lot of other things. So many things!

I liked this book a lot! I loved the development of their relationship. I liked how they handled the trouble they got from their family’s.

although this was cringy at times THAT MAN HAD ME RUNNING LAPS IN MY KITCHEN

This was so dumb

This is my first time reading Wright’s contemporary romance and I have to say I was so SHOCKED by how much I truly enjoyed this one here. I adored it in every way and man she does contemporary so WELL!! I liked it way more than even her paranormals. Now don’t get me wrong I adore her paranormal romance series so dearly, but there is something so gravitating about this one. If you love Kristen Ashley, Meghan March, or Katy Evans…this is definitely a book for you. And its part of the KU membership, so another plus there right? And it contains one of my all time favorite tropes (and trust me there are a ton of tropes that I love) but in this one here, we see a fake engagement with a marriage of convenience match up happen and these two are on fire together. There are plenty of secrets between them, but seeing them slowly build on their chemistry and fall in love along their journey was simply beautiful to see in each and every way. The characters are so captivating in their own personalities that are so engaging and you won’t be able to get enough. I was so entrenched because you feel “all the feels” and just want them to embrace what their relationship is building towards and such a rich filled romance to curl the toes.

nothing especially memorable but cute story

dane is so dreamy, romantic and honourable <3

marriage of convenience eu te amo

I liked the book for the most part, but there were just a few too many characters to keep straight. I also lost it at the description of her ugly ass wedding dress

** spoiler alert ** THE DRAMA, THE PLOT TWISTS, THE SMUT (there could have been more) WAS EVERYTHING! This book is such a love! I will never get over the bar scene when they are all making Vienna feel bad about dating Dane since he's there boss and he comes in a just absolutely defends her to the ends of the earth <3

really didn’t think i would enjoy this book but they got me in the end i liked how all the miscommunication was cleared up quickly because dane always made vienna talk about what was bothering her it was a breathe of fresh air

okay so i absolutely loved this to bits, i can’t put into words but marriage of convenience + grumpy/sunshine + slowburn is the perfect combo, period

Dane Davenport owns me. That's all. That's the review
Highlights

"Don't look at her," Dane said to him. "Look at me."
🥵🥰

“A low, rumbly chuckle vibrated his chest.I gaped.
“You just laughed. Sort of.”He nuzzled my neck.
“It was a cough.”
“It was not. Don’t worry; I’ll keep it between you and me.”
“That I coughed?”
I play-punched his shoulder. “You laughed. I heard you.”
So he is human after all?

“He effortlessly lifted her and held her against his chest—the move so natural I would bet my life he’d Googled how to carry and hold a cat.”
he probably did😭

“In the parking lot, we headed to his Aston Martin and slid inside”
Aston Martin? Where do I get one

“His face went soft and languid, but then all emotion seeped from his eyes, and his expression was once again hard. “You need to be careful, Vienna.”“Careful?”“I’m a very selfish being. If you keep being so sweet, I’ll get used to it, and I might not want to lose it. Then we’ll both be in trouble.”
danger is my middle name so I don’t mind

“Hang on a sec. You’re the one acting like an ass, but women are in the wrong purely because they called you on it?”I sighed. “Ever notice how women always get the blame for men being dicks? Their mom didn’t hug them enough, the girls at school made fun of them, their adult ex-girlfriends jilted them, their ex-wives used to nag at them. And if you reject a guy, it can’t possibly mean you simply don’t like him—no, it means you’re stuck up or a frigid bitch or something.”
slayyyy

“Yeah,” he agreed, his eyes on the picture. “Her name’s Vienna. I named her after the sweetest, strongest girl I ever met.”
Uhhhh wtf

“Owen clenched his fists. “I do care for her, she’s—”“Not yours,” Dane finished. “They’re my rings on her finger. It’s my name she’s taken. It’s my bed she shares. She is mine. So whether you care for her or not isn’t fucking relevant.”
you tell him
