When He's Dark
Reviews

3.5 stars, good but it's not as gripping as i thought would be. i know that there's a whole universe for this series because i've read them before, but for book 1 of the series, i was expecting the rules and all aren't crammed so tightly in the story. it's kind of confusing to be honest. but overall, classic SW's chemistry that we all adore! will read more.

This review was originally posted on Addicted To Romance When He's Dark is the first book in a connecting series " The Olympus Pack" and this pack is a Pallas Cat pack and are part of Mila's pack from book 'Untamed Delights' I will say that I have really loved the world that this author has created within these connecting series. She writes alpha females in the way I actually really like them. Where they are tough, they can kick booty when they need to but have plenty of vulnerabilities to make them easily relatable to any reader. I have simply enjoyed seeing how this author really implements certain aspects and her writing is easily read. You never have to question whether or not you can get into her books so she has become an auto buy author for me in many ways. When He's Dark is a very interesting premise and it begins with two people that are part of the same pack. They have known each other most of their lives and there has been this underlying tension just bubbling under the surface but there have been other factors on both sides that have kept them apart from each other. But when circumstances shift, these two come together in what is an epic and fierce mating. The heroine, Bree is a fighter and is a Omega and even though she has a different approach to helping those emotionally in the pack, she is the strongest in the pack. Alex, is part of the pack but he is not Pallas, but is a Wolverine, and when it comes to being an Alpha Male, he is the epitome of the title. When Alex becomes determined to fight for Bree.....it will be a mating of desire and fierce intensity. When He's Dark is a powerfully penned story that won my heart in so many ways and I am so grateful to this author for continuiing on with this world because I have adored every single moment of its dynamic since its conception and this author really knows how to write these endearing alpha characters. But she really blew the cork with this book because Alex is one YUMMY ALPHA. I have such a weakness for alpha males, and boy when he goes after someone like he does with Bree....its full force and its hot as sin. There is such entertaining factors that bring these two together and plus a crazy ex mate that builds the plot in such an on edge of your seat element. It was quite a delight to see how Alex and Bree come together here and the other dangers that come into play. The way that Suzanne Wright builds her villains is so enticing and really has you deep thinking and trying to solve that mystery of the true intentions. I definitely couldn't get enough of seeing these elements come together in such a enigmatic manner. Overall I found When He's Dark to be a stunning and stimulating romance that fed my romantic heart in every way....you definitely don't want to miss out on this incredible adventure!

SW has done it again!!! She is my favorite author and did not disappoint at all! I am absolutely in love with Alex and Bree! Even though this book is in the same world as her Pheonix and Mercury pack series and some of the characters show up in the book, it felt different from all other 13 books in the series! the relationship and the steamy scenes were amazing and so refreshing! It is OFFICIAL: Valentina has knocked of Eli (from Shards of Frost, book 5 in the Mercury Pack series) from the #1 spot of favorite SW character! She was so awesome in this book and I love that we got to see more of her! I saw so much of myself in Bree (I'm also not the best at comforting people the nice, normal way) and I loved how she dealt with conflict and how she didn't hold anything back but was not an asshole about. Alex, as the love interested, was perfection. That's all I'll say about him because I can't gush about him without including spoilers lol I didn't think there needed to be OW drama, but I'm not mad at it. I also did guess who one of the villains was but like I've said in other reviews, it doesn't really bother me if I can guess a twist if it's done correctly.
