The Loneliest Alpha is the first book in the MacKellan Alpha's series, and so far the only book in the series yet. It just came out about six months ago. This book was part of a group read through goodreads, and I am so glad this was the book of the month. I do love sweet shifter romances, but when you put a "Beauty and the Beast" theme into the mix, it only increases the enjoyment of the read! I was pulled into the story from the first few pages, and as this is the first time I had heard of this author, I was really amazed in her storytelling. I would recommend this author to anyone that is searching for a sexy shifter romance!! This story begins with the heroine being practically kidnapped to find out if she is the mate for Gavin. What a great way to start the day right?? Well she is strong willed and tries to escape, even though she is starting to have feelings for Gavin. Alicia is the "Beauty" of the story. She is beautiful and creative and fascinated Gavin even though Gavin thinks she will end up rejecting him. Gavin is such a wonderful tortured hero, I loved him instantly. My heart ached for him throughout the story, especially the beginning, when you see the conflicting emotions he puts out. Gavin has been rejected and used, and has certain trust issues. There were some fun scenes placed in the story, and I enjoyed how Alicia didn't back down and always seemed to be chasing him just trying to get a glimpse of his face and he kept running away.....too hilarious at times. Even though this story has plenty of steamy scenes, it also has quite a focus on the emotional intimacy between Gavin and Alicia, and that just made it all that much sweeter!! A Treat of a romance!!

This story was so intense and wildly passionate, and very emotionally driven at times. The Loneliest Alpha is a sweet romance with lots of steamy passion, a mouthwatering hero, plot full of mystery, and a story to make you weak in the knees!! WORTH EVERY MOMENT!!!
