A Friend of the Earth

This was unsurprisingly an interesting pairing with Parable of the Sower. While PotS takes itself seriously, this is heavily satirical. And while PotS's protagonist looks within to cope with the fate of the earth and its people, this looks out--to nature and family. I'm not sure which I prefer. I think they're best together.
