I really want to start this review with 10 swear words, but I gotta keep it classy right? Also, this was my first TL. Smith read, and I am officially addicted. Oh man, this book was dark and unsettling, but more importantly - original. This book is so full of angst that it will make your heart go crazy as you read it. My heart is still recovering because of that ending. 

Sass and Ryken are super complicated, and we regrettably root for them even though they are just so toxic for each other. Even though we see that it wouldn't work, even though we think we have better judgment, we just hopelessly hope they can be together. Clearly, we are all sane readers, eh?

As I said before, this was my first taste of T.L. Smith, and like Ryken, I am addicted. I don't know why I had never picked up one of her books before, but I now realize that it was a terrible mistake to abstain for so long. The writing style in this one was intriguing. Those confessions placed intermittently were ingenious and captivating. They grasp the reader and we try to figure out their cryptic meanings. I cannot wait for book 2!
