He presses his lips together as if stopping himself from saying something out loud.

“I don’t know what I need anymore,” he whispers as he stares at me.

Elliott being jealous of Kate talking to other men, when he was doing the same at the dinner.

“Let’s go and get a drink somewhere,” Charles says. “I want to get out of here too.”

“The only place you’ll be going is to the fucking morgue,” Elliott growls from behind us.

Charles turns. “Mr Miles,” he stammers.

Elliott glares at him. “Get out of my fucking sight.”

“And just so you know, if one of my brothers made a play for you? They wouldn’t survive it.”
