My last read of the year and a big disappointment. The book might be good if the last thirty percent didn't exist. I'm also glad I didn't read the first book, because Wes and Justin acted like 12-year-olds here.

I read enjoyed the beginning and how two main characters became friends, but then suddenly Colton start pinning after Nick ( after a dream ) which was disappointing because it felt like, they were friends then came the dream, and BOOM he suddenly has a crush on his friend dad. We didn’t even get the Nick’s pov about what he thought about Colton before the kiss. 

The potential this book had was huge because the age gap, my friend's dad, and a bit of "my boss" romance. The trops looked really promising, but that's about it.

After Jason found out about their relationship and acted so embarrassingly that I wanted to laugh, Nick's reaction came. Don't make me start about his reaction because I was so disappointed, bro was 42 years old and acted like his son, even worse.

The worst thing in their relationship was LACK OF COMMUNICATION, seriously one of them was 42 years old after divorce and acted like teenager and after their "break up" didn’t run after Colton to even talk with him. 
When he said that I thought I will faint, that’s how mad I was at this men. 

left“Colton left. He hasn’t texted. He hasn’t called. He me, exactly like I knew he would.”

Maybe he left because you said that when your son found out and you didn’t run after him.

I really like Tal Bauer's books because most of them show healthy and cute relationships, but this one HELL NO.

I love the trope but I don’t know why I was expecting something else. Hate the miscommunication trope though 🥰

Honestly one of the best age gap romances, Tal Bauer knows how to write romance and characters you really love. It didn't have the same emotional impact as The Jock but make no mistake this is an incredible read in it's own right!

i fucking cried so hard, I dont think I have cried that hard over a book before.
