Coming back two months after I read this and upping my review to 5 stars cause this book still makes me feel a lot when I think about it. 

I cried a lot reading this, and probably not for the reason most people did. When Mike starts to realise his headaches aren’t going away and his suffering doesn’t seem to be ending, he starts worrying about how maybe things will never change and that it’ll only keep getting worse. This is a very big fear I have with my POTS. I try and avoid thinking about how in years to come I may be even worse than I am now and not be able to enjoy many things in life. But the author literally put to words my exact thoughts and it hit too close to home and I couldn’t stop crying for Mike and myself. 

I think it’s why I initially rated it only 4 stars because it was too much for me, but now that I’ve gotten over the sad feeling I had when finishing the book I can look back and say it was truly an incredible read and I would some day hope I can get the courage to read it again.
