Spoilers ahead! My feelings about Here's to Yesterday are so, so very messy. It shouldn't be totally surprising though, because the book itself was messy. I mean, not the writing or anything. But the hero in love with his brother's girlfriend. The heroine having very real feelings for the brother who isn't her boyfriend. Confused yet? 😂

I'm all for some friends first love, so obviously I was all about Tucker and Maura. They were just so obviously meant to be together. The only problem was Tanner, Tucker's brother and Maura's boyfriend. Love triangles aren't in my no-fly zone if they're done right and I thought this one was decent. My biggest issue was that I have a problem with the demonizing of a previously good character to make the choice easier. That said, I guess we really don't KNOW Tanner was a good guy before or that he treated Maura well. But it certainly seemed that way. The drastic change felt a little too convenient and the THING that happens maybe didn't need to? But, it's not my story to tell.

Aside from those small issues, I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I adored Maura and her journey was so relatable. Tucker was such a sweet guy. I shipped them early on, even if it wasn't really right.

I guess now is the time to hold on to one another. Now is the time to tell each other how we feel, because we don't know if we'll get to tomorrow. But sometimes, something so terrible happens that the yesterdays don't matter, the tomorrows don't exist, and the now is nothing but pain and heartache.
