One-Timer

One-Timer

Teagan Hunter2022
“I’m pregnant.” That’s what my teammate’s sister-in-law told me after our one-night stand. I didn’t expect to see Hollis again, let alone end up raising a child with her. We set some ground rules—we’ll raise the baby together, but that’s it. No relationship, no future, and definitely no kissing. But the more time we spend together, the harder it is to keep track of where the lines were once drawn. I’m known for my one-timer on and off the ice, but this game with Hollis just got a lot more complicated… ONE-TIMER is a standalone hockey romance. There is a one-night stand, an accidental pregnancy, wit, steam, and lots of fun!

Abundantly fucking cute So cute! So cliche! So cozy...... I loved Hollis, more so than Harper, I just connected with her better and can I just say Collin literally made my heart swell with how protective he was about his new sister.

3.5 rounded up to 4 because i stayed up til 2AM to finish it and that means something.

Accidental pregnancy and dual pov this book just knows what i needed it was cute maybe even a little funny i loved the friendship Lowell has with his teammates and the girl friendship with Hollis' circle. I think it's rare that a romance novel shows friendship not being cringy af.

Also one thing i didn't like was how focused lowell was on the baby then on, you know, the woman carrying his child i mean that fault of him is the reason the third act happens and this man goes to the length of saying "But I don’t love you more than our baby, and I hope you can understand that. like....why are you comparing the romantic love you have for the mother of your child to the love you have for the unborn baby? Hm? Should i be concerned? Should i call the police? Is this a twilight jacob thing? Anyway i would be sure he was joking if he didn't mention it again after that but whatever i don't expect much from a white man.

“I like how patient he is and how supportive he is. How funny and smart and kind he is too. I like the way he looks at me from across the room, and I like the way he touches me like he’s not able to not touch me. I like the way I feel when I’m with him—protected and cared for. And I really like the way he loves our baby.”

Omg stoppp! This book was so cute. I’m also not usually into the pregnancy trope but this was adorable and I loved every second of it.
