The Team Player 2 anthology includes 11 stories. My rating and review is based on six of them. I think overall this was a good anthology. The stories I read were excellent, but four of those were more or less prequel novellas. The stories I read in the original Team Player anthology were all full-length stories. I was expecting more of the same in part two. If not for that disappointment, I would be giving out five stars to this collection.

The Guy in the Middle (Kate Stewart)
I've still yet to read The Guy on the Right. (I know, I know. I need to get to it.) But right now I'm all about The Guy in the Middle. Harper and Lance struck a chord with me and I loved what I got of their story here. They were both strong and well-developed characters. Oh, the antagonistic banter and overall chemistry! I couldn't get enough and unfortunately it ended way too soon for my liking. I need the conclusion ASAP. 

Fast Break (Kennedy Ryan)
Fast Break was amazing. It was also what I would consider a complete story. Would I basically kill for more of Ean and Quinn? Hell yes. My feels were all over the place as I read, and it delivered a fair amount of heat, too. Ean and Quinn's story was everything I love about Kennedy Ryan's writing. This was a quick read, but still a very satisfying one. 

The Teaching Hours (Sara Ney)
I adored this addition to the Douchebags series! I've been intrigued by the idea of Hannah getting a story since meeting her earlier in the series — and same goes for Rex, too. I was a little curious how a matchup between the two of them might work, but it was basically perfect. They balanced each other out nicely and their chemistry was fantastic. I'd take a few more chapters about them, but all in all I'm happy with how this one wrapped if there's not more to come.

A Slice of Love (Teagan Hunter) 
I love a good second chance romance and Teagan delivered just that with A Slice of Love. There was a lot more to Jonas than met the eye and I was hopefully into him. Frankie was a fantastic heroine. I loved seeing them get a shot at a second chance after a pretty disappointing try the first time around when they were younger. There was a lot of story packed into this one, but there's still more to tell and I'm jonesing for the rest of it. It was cute, funny and romantic, but I need the ending for their story. 

Holt's Story (Meghan Quinn)
I usually love Meghan's unique brand of humor, but I struggled to get into this story at first. I rolled my eyes through the first chapter or so because the boys were so ... boys. Drunk boys at that. That said, I really ended up connecting with Holt and Harmony and their story once I got through the initial bumps. They were a really cute pairing. I enjoyed their banter. Unfortunately, it ended far too soon for my liking. It was a quick and sexy read, but not a complete story. 

Dear Ava (Ilsa Madden-Mills)
Dealing with Ava's sexual assault (though not on the page), this was the darkest of the stories in an otherwise fairly light anthology. I was also 1000% into the story. Ava's attitude was a throwback to Nora's in Very Bad Things, one of my favorite books by this author. Ava wasn't here for anyone's shit and I appreciated that. Knox got a little bit of a side-eye in the beginning, but I ended up falling for him pretty darn hard. This was another incomplete story though... and I need more.
