Team Player A Sports Romance Anthology

Hot jocks. We love them all. Sexy baseball players. Intense footballers. Sweaty MMA fighters, and sizzling hockey hotties. Score! The good news? Eleven bestselling authors have gathered to give you a set of stories focused on the men we love most-sports heroes. We bet you'll love this thick...book. The bad news? We aren't responsible for melted devices. Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads. There are multiple stories in the Team Player Anthology, but my rating and review is on three of them — Meghan Quinn's Back in the Game, Kate Stewart's Sweeping the Story and Sara Ney's Switch Hitter.  Back in the Game by Meghan Quinn:  Oh my god, Carter and Rachel. I loved these two so darn much. First off, any man who allows his daughter to dress him in a tiara and fairy wings — and then goes out in public — is going to have me falling hard for him right from the start. Add to that him being a tough guy hockey player and *boom* goodbye ovaries. But Rachel is pretty darn amazing herself, too. She was real and sassy and the type of woman I'd be friends with in real life. I adored their story. It was funny and sexy and sweet. I found myself a little sad when it was over because I'd love to have more from them. That's the only trouble with novellas — they always make me want more, even if the story is technically complete. (I'm such a greedy reader!) Now I can go back to waiting on Meghan's next full-length novel, Three Blind Dates. I have high hopes maybe I'll see more of Carter and Rachel in that one...  Sweeping the Story by Kate Stewart:  I've been eyeing Kate's backlist since I finished Drive a couple months ago. (Or maybe I should say since Drive finished ME because that book ruined me in all the ways.) Because I love sports romance, I've been looking extra closely at the Balls in Play series. After reading this novella — and totally falling for Ren and Erica and the rest of the characters — I'm going to need to go read it stat. But I digress. Sweeping the Story was amazing. Of course, y'all know how much I love my second chance romance so this shouldn't be surprising in any way. On the outside, Ren was as far from a swoony hero as you can get — at the beginning anyhow — but the man had layers. I simultaneously loved Erica and felt so bad for her because she's the one who caused all her heartache by leaving him years ago. But no matter, at the end of the day I was crushing hard on both of them and enjoying every moment of their story. It was hot and sexy, but not without plenty of feels.  Switch Hitter by Sara Ney: Sara Ney is one of my newest author loves and she reminded me why with Switch Hitter. Amelia was wonderful. Dash was so swoony and marvelous I didn't know what to do with myself. And when he spoke Spanish... *rawr* Their story was lighthearted and just plain fun to read. (Even if I was a little put out with Amelia's twin, Lucy... but without her there would be no Amelia and Dash, so I'll deal.) It also had a fair bit of slow burn, with a well-earned payoff. I was delighted to finish this novella and discover it was actually kicking off a new series — Jock Hard. I'll be sitting over here with grabby hands until it's available in the spring.  I enjoyed the stories I did read so much — and several of the others are by authors whose work I've been interested in reading — I think I might have to go back and read the ones I skipped. Y'all know I love a good sports romance, so this might be the perfect chance for me to discover some other new favorite new-to-me authors this year!  I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
