Sidney Sheldon

Computer whiz Ashley Patterson is convinced she is being stalked. Coworker Toni Prescott has a penchant for Internet dating and little time for anyone else. And Alette Peters prefers quiet weekends in the arms of a beefcake artist. They know virtually nothing about each other--until the three women are linked by a murder investigation that will lead to one of the most bizarre trials of the century.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book especially it's setting, namely the Silicon Valley. I worked for web start-ups during the internet bubble (the start of the book). Later the trial though the circumstances completely different, the media circus reminds me greatly of our current "trial of the century" up here, the trial of Scott Peterson. But the book in its deceptive simplicity takes on a rather serious subject, MPD and molestation. There's an afterword, contact info for more information and a bibliography.

i honestly didn’t know what to feel about this book. it’s kind of predictable in a way? but nonetheless, it was thrilling to unravel the reason why ashley developed her trauma (and it shouldn’t be taken lightly!). i just wished there was more towards the ending.

I guess I was only able to finish it out of curiosity (as to why many people recommend it).

Somebody was watching her She had read about stalkers, but they belonged in a different, faraway world. She had no idea who it could be, who would want to harm her. She was trying desperately not to panic, but lately her sleep had been filled with nightmares, and she had awakened each morning with a feeling of impending doom. Thus begins Sidney Sheldon's chilling new novel, Tell Me Your Dreams. Three beautiful young women are suspected of committing a series of brutal murders. The police make an arrest that leads to one of the most bizarre murder trials of the century. Based on actual events, Sheldon's novel races from London to Rome to the city of Quebec to San Francisco, with a climax that will leave the reader stunned.

This was such a great book! I couldn't put it down! It was full of twists that just made me gasp.
The characters were great and had depth. I totally believed the whole story. I believed the characters. The writing stil though simple, was really capturing.
But: there are a few things about the plot I did not like.
1. The romance between Gilbert and Ashley wasn't actually shown, even though it was clearly pointed out in some places that the two had feelings for each other. It would have been even greater if Ashley and him became a couple when the therapy finished. It would make it clear that the therapy worked.
2. What was the story about the mother? Why did she hate Ashley so much? It was never mentioned in the book.
3. Sheldon said that dr Patterson and his wife always fought about one thing, which was as well never mentioned. I think that it could have made a good addition to the plot.
4. Why wasn't dr Patterson arrested for rape?

All in all, I enjoyed this book very much. I strongly recommend it.
