The most important people to Rachel is her mother and her daughter, and she feels like they are both slipping through her fingers. In fear of losing her mother she delves deep into her mothers past, and her own tragic history. Was her whole life based on a lie?

This book is told in alternating point of views between Rachel's mother in the past, and Rachel herself as she uncovers her families past. 
The chapters were short which made the book feel fast paced. Each chapter leaving me wanting to keep reading.

I wen't into this book with low expectations but wow did it prove me wrong.
This book had a sense of creepiness to it, especially when you follow the mothers perspective because she does mention that she worried about her daughter, because of how she shows emotions and believes that her daughter could well and truly hurt someone.
And another way you have a sense of creepiness is when Rachel is an Adult, she is getting these different Facebook friend requests, sending her these creepy nurse rhymes.
And then the people that are sending her friend requests are turning up dead.

The best way to go into this book is not knowing too much, I really enjoyed following Rachel as she uncovers the truth of her dark past.
I need to read Amanda's first book because i hear that is just as good as this one.
