This one was a surprise!
I went into it not knowing anything - cause it's been a long time since I read the summary, and I was NOT expecting time travel!
This was a really fast-moving young adult/new adult book, and I really enjoyed how light-hearted it felt even in the more serious stuff that happened.
I really liked it, and will definitely continue.

           Sono una grande fan dei viaggi nel tempo, quindi questo libro mi ha incuriosita immediatamente. Jacksons, il protagonista, non mi ha infastidita e non cerca mai di diventare un Gary Stue come spesso succede nei libri quindi direi che questo è un punto a suo favore. All'inizio forse la trama parte un pò troppo dentro la storia, e per un attimo nelle prime pagine non riuscivo a capire bene che cosa stesse succedendo, ma la storia non mi ha stancata mai. Ho divorato questo libro come non mi succedeva da parecchio tempo. Hanno scommesso molto sulla storia d'amore tra Jackson e Holly, come se fosse il punto fondamentale del libro, lo era davvero? Holly ha una parte marginale, veramente solo come interesse sentimentale del protagnista e non si può definire la loro storia come "interessante", tanto che l'Adam diciassettenne la descrive come una relazione solo basata sul sesso ( e anche Jackson se ne accorge, finalmente ). Se holly fosse sparita dal libro, nulla sarebbe cambiato secondo me. Adam invece poteva essere sviluppato meglio, e sicuramente mi sarebbe piaciuto un pò di più. non è che non mi sia piaciuto affatto, è che per quasi tutto il libro non si stacca dallo stereotipo del nerd e non fa quasi mai niente, anche se è molto meglio di Holly. Avrei voluto vedere più scene con Courtney, ma credo che nei prossimi libri di lei non si sarà più niente e non ci saranno più salti così indietro, ma semmai in avanti. Mi è piaciuto il fatto che all'inizio non riuscissi bene a inquadrare il padre, era giusto non fidarsi di lui come faceva Jackson oppure no? Per un pò sono quasi stata convinta che fosse lui il cattivo della storia XD Comunque un bel libro, sono curiosa di leggere sia seguito che prequel.

I did get over half way through so I'm classing it as read. but my god. I liked it at first but it just boring. I put it down a few days ago and then when I went to read more I couldn't remember what was happening. that only happens with me if its been months since I read a book not days. So yeah I give up with it. sorry

It was a little confusing in some places, especially towards the middle, but I enjoyed this book immensely. There aren't a whole lot of books about time travel out there (or at least, I haven't read very many), so it was a refreshing break from all the vampire/werewolves (I like them- but there are so many)! Anyway. I felt like I could connect with Jackson and understood his pain and the confusion he suffered through. Definitely worth it to pick it up and the ending is unexpected! I'm so glad it's a series, because I wanted throw the book (haha!).

Quite a few dramatic cliches, some obvious YA romance fluff thrown in too, but I stayed for the time travel. Jumping in a sorta trial mode that doesn't change the past is a fun idea.
