Tempted

Honestly these books sure are great to pass the time! They don’t really take much thinking (you don’t even have to remember the last book bc the author kinda repeats a lot of it).

This one was pretty good, I like how the plot is advancing and I’m ready to get into the next one as soon as I can!

ok so im this book zoey breaks up with erik and erik is being a jerk about it AND umm stevie rae is taking care of that raven mocker, raphiem?, and is hiding it from everyone else.
aside from dat.. heath becomes zoey's consort and stark gets his dog back.... kalona is still haunting her in her dreams but hes in a way pretending to be nice to zoey and show her that he once was a good guy and darius becomes aphrodite's warrior like how stark is zoey's warrior.... everyone at the house of night school is hurt because of the raven mocker and we learn that dragon's wife was killed from the ravens..raphiem. lebonia? helps zoey and her friends find a way to get to kalona and hopefully defeat him with a poem that one poet wrote krashima? or something like that. from the poem and a dream they learn they need to get to venice and so they go there with heath because his parents allowed it. when they get there stevie rae didn't go btw but back at the HoN she gets betrayed by the bad red fledging and they try to burn her but rapiem saves her as a paid debt for her helping him. shes weak because she got burned a little so rapiem offer his blood and so stevie rae and rapiem becomes imprinted and the imprint with aphrodite and stevie rae is gone. ...zoey and her other friends go to venice and speak with the higher power vampyres ..forgot what you call them..about neferet and kalona but N and K just keep making themself look like good guys even though they're bad.... even zoey thinks kalona is kinda good because this is what hes trying to do so shes kinda convince he can change for the good but her friends are against it and. stark gets mad .....heath was going to zoey but on his way he found N and K talking to each other and end up listening on them and finds out from the convo that kalona is really bad and hes been trying to manipulate zoey by showing her his good side...he does not want zoey dead btw. Neferet does. and then...the sad part.....heath does not make it to zoey because kalona knew he was listening and ends up killing him by breaking his neck but it happened in front of zoey and zoey threw a spirit ball at end at the last minute...he falls and gets hurt and zoeys soul shatters because of what she just saw happen to heath and becomes just a shell...her tattoo are gone (and shes now in the otherworld with heath,,,you learn about this in burned)... stark is really hurt because hes zoey warrior and zoey is almost dead. ...omg dis is sad!!

Okay, I’m not sure if PC Cast got a ghost writer or maybe just a very competent aid, but this book was by far the best in the series so far. There was very little to no annoying, immature banter. The characters were making good choices or at least developing ones. I didn’t want to gouge my eyes out at the romantic parts of the book. Introducing Rephaim was excellent, I already like him and see a lot of potential for the rest of the series with him and Stevie Rae.
I normally hate it when authors change writing styles, like going from a singular POV to multiple but I think it worked so damn well for this book, I’m amazed. After hating the first few and only hanging around because I don’t leave things unfinished, if the rest are like this one I won’t be upset.

           When I first started this book, It was a little hard to get into, only because the beginning was a little slow. Once I really started getting into it, I loved the book. It was amazingly written once again, PC and Kristen Cast did it again with their amazing writing. I just really wish Heath didn't have to die at the end. Also they should have written in the scene where Zoey shattered her soul. It would have been a very good ending, in my opinion. 5/5 stars(:

This was the last House of Night book I read before giving up. There are just so many, and the plot had gotten way too complicated for me to dedicate that much time to untangling it. I had other books to read. Also, I was really sick and tired of Heath. There were so many better other options for Zoey.
