Steve Irwin was one of my heroes when I was young, and it was fascinating and beautiful to read about the behind-the-scenes of life with Steve, who he really was when he wasn't in front of a camera, and his relationship with his beloved family. Absolutely heartbreaking to read the account of his death from the perspective of his wife. But it inspired me to check out recent footage (as well as old Croc Hunter footage for nostalgia's sake) of the Irwin family, and it's heartwarming to see they're all following closely in Steve's footsteps in living the noble life of a "wildlife warrior".
