Rizzoli and Isles are at it again with more murders. This time, young kids who are are invested and fond of are in grave danger and someone from their past is hunting them down. Just when they think they have them safely tucked away, the killer becomes their hunter.

Jane and Maura have an unusual murder of a movie producer. The clues are leading them no where until some how Maura’s mother, from her deathbed in prison, drop some clues.

Review:

I have read all of this authors books and I am a huge fan of her creep factor and this did not disappoint. Right away we open with a gruesome murder in Boston and the chase begins. There is so much going on in this book but in a good way. We have the daycare scandal from years ago and the current situation of who and why are the children from this sex abuse scandal being murdered one by on in horrifying ways. Maura's mother is back in the picture and I was hoping that she would not make another creepy appearance but what the heck it works. Jane's mother is back with her buffoon of a husband and I had hoped that wasn't going to happen but it did, he is the most annoying character along with brother Frankie. Aside from these little subplots which in my opinion are an important part of this series, we now get to the grit of the book, the creepy murders and who is doing this. There is a female character that was a part of the sex abuse scandal and she is integral to this investigation. I cannot go into too much detail about this book because it would really ruin the whole book for those of you who will read it. There is a lot of suspense and action and of course the big twist at the end.

Final Thoughts:

I thought that I had this one figured out about two thirds of the way into this book but was I ever wrong. That is what keeps me going back for more with this author.This review was originally posted on Cindy's Book Binge

The Rizzoli & Isles series is one of my faves, however, this entry didn't really do it for me. I had been waiting (it seems like years) for Tess Gerritsen to publish the next book in this years (lately she has been doing stand-alones) and was so excited about this book! But...I really didn't care for it very much. It somewhat redeemed itself for me toward the very end of the book, but the process of reading it was not enthralling. I have been reading so many excellent thrillers lately so the bar has been set very high.

It was good to revisit with the characters and the plot was twisty at points, but it was a disappointment for me.

Rizzoli & Isles work on a case involving the Catholic Church and a serial killer. There were some surprises, but most of it I had worked out.

I still love Tess Gerritsen and the series is very well done. My faves so far are VANISH and THE MEPHISTO CLUB and her standalone HARVEST is amazing. I keep wanting her to expand on the characters from THE MEPHISTO CLUB - perhaps give them their own series. That would make me a very happy camper.

Guess who is back? That is right. A brand new book of Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles! I am totally excited that Tess Gerritsen has made another book in the series. And it definitely starts off with a bang.
I Know A Secret starts off with a twisted mystery murder that is going to have Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles searching for the truth. It is going to take some searching for the truth but it is very twisted murder that no one expected.
Jane Rizzoli is back at it again. She has another murder that needs to be solved. From the start, it looks typical but it is definitely a twisted murder that won't start. You are going to finding some twisted revelations about the murders. While Rizzoli solving the murder, she is also solving out her family drama. It is definitely going to be solved halfway the story that it will make you reader happy. I will not spoil it for you but I am happy that it is finally resolved.
Maura Isles is definitely struggling with solving this murder. She has no clue about how the victim died but she is also a determined person to find out. While she is finding the answer, she also meets an unexpected visitor. Fans may be happy or may not. I am kinda in between because I want Maura happy but I know there are consequences of that visitor. It is going to be a tough rough for Maura in the long run but I think Maura will discover what she truly wants, not of others wants for her.
I Know A Secret will expose past secrets that will not be left unspoken since it usually does not. It will keep the reader on their toes to find out the true truth. Plus, you will also get to enjoy the funny banter between characters. 4 1/2 Stars.

Loved how thrilling and page-turning this book was. Definitely had some surprises I did not see coming. No questions were left unanswered ,which I really enjoyed.
