Text Me Baby One More Time
Reviews

Una falta de todo que este libro no tenga epílogo, lo peor es que no esperaba caer enamorada de Shepard y ahora me siento tal cual como Denver al final “feliz y enojada” 🤧

i really really liked the first 75% of the book and then the last 25% threw me a bit off, unfortunately. it was adorable and i adored reading their early texts when they were young. i thought we’d get a epilogue that would redeem the last 25% of the book but we didn’t, unfortunately. however, since i really really loved the beginning I’m giving it… 4,25-stars ✨

** spoiler alert ** “Stop being so sexy!” I can’t. It’s a curse Text Me Baby One More Time is the fourth and final book in the Texting series. The book follows the two exes, Shepherd, who is Zach’s jerk brother from Let’s get Textual and Denver. This one was my least favorite book in the series because of the main male character. I just hated how he treated Delia in Let’s get Textual. This is a second chance story. Denver hates Shep after he suddenly stopped talking to her a few years before. “For what it’s worth, this was never unfinished business. It can’t be, because I never stopped loving you.” I loved the captain America and Bucky references in the book. We get to know their backstory and the reason why Seph did what he did. I didn’t realize at first who Seph was but when I realized I was so annoyed at him because of what happens in Let’s get Textual. “They make medicine for that, you know.” “For what?” “Your constipation. Being so fucking full of shit all the time has to start hurting after a while.” Even though this one is not my favorite and Seph is a jerk, I did enjoy this book in the end. I loved Denver’s character and hated Seph less in the end. I recommend giving it a try even though you don’t like Seph. I gave this book 4 stars “I’m keeping you this time.” “Are you?” “If you’ll let me, Bucky.”

When we received our ARCs we were asked not to share the names of the characters, because Teagan wanted it to be a surprise for the readers and I have to agree. So in my review I will be using the nicknames these characters use when talking to each other: Captain America and Bucky! Before reading this I had already read the first two books, but didn't have a chance to get to the third book. That isn't a problem with this series, because they are all standalones. We see the previous characters in the books though, so there were a few things I had missed. I do plan on reading the third one in the near future though! In all honesty, I was actually pretty shocked that she chose Captain America as a character for this book. He wasn't one of the favorites that we meet along the way. Text Me Baby One More Time really changed my mind about him though. In the end, he's just really afraid to get hurt. Love is something beautiful, but he's seen quite a few friends and family get crushed and he will do anything to avoid that at all cost. Bucky is a believer in love, well she was until she was crushed by Captain America. Who knew you could fall in love with someone just by texting and not even meeting each other? Even following that person to college? Yeah, it sounds nuts. Being in love will do that I guess, so when he breaks her heart it hits her hard. Certain circumstances make them run into each other again and Captain America makes a deal. If Bucky helps him out, he'll help her with a chance to get a promotion at work. It's hilarious seeing these two together. There is clearly a connection there, but also a lot of hurt. Just like in the other books in this series, there is a lot of humor! Not only in the texts, but when the characters are together as well. This author is good at putting references in these books though, especially the Harry Potter ones are my favorite. The humor isn't the only great part of this book though. I also loved the flashbacks of the texting years ago. I thought it was great the author gave us a look into the past. And Steve the dog is just something that has to be mentioned! He makes this story even more amazing! Text Me Baby One More Time shows that people really can change, even if they need a little help along the way. Also, it shows us that giving someone a second chance at your heart can really pay off. We all deserve a happily ever after! I don't want to give away too many details, because I think fans of this series really need to experience this book all on their own. I'm happy these characters got a story! And I can't forget the bits and pieces we get from the characters from the previous books! If you love romances with a lot of fumor, sexy times, romance, great friendships and swoon worthy moments, this series is for you!

I honestly don’t think Shep redeemed himself, and I didn’t really care for Denver’s character either. The guy legit stole and spread nudes of his brother’s girlfriend because he was petty and jealous. He was a huge asshole, broke the heroine’s heart, and yeah he “changed,” but I don’t think he did enough to earn forgiveness from the heroine or his brother/brother’s gf.
