           That’s was so deliciously good 🥰 the only other books I’ve read by AH have a similar theme of extreme neediness/co-dependency and I love them so much! I never even knew I enjoyed them till I read her books and I’ve never found anything else to compare 😂 my only issue with this seems to be a running trend with AH books, where the book ends end just after they get together and I want more 😔

Great premise....but 

OK so I really wanted to give this book more stars. I love the premise and the characters were lovable. I liked that it was quirky and light hearted. 

BUT in the first chapter we jumped from the first meeting to several weeks later. We really didn't get to see the development between the characters. Just short scenes and the suddenly we jump again and we are having to catch up with the alien intricate back story. Then we jump back in to the love and then it's over. 

For a story like this I feel like the book should've been twice as long. I really didn't get a feel for Adam, we really don't know much about him. The alien backstory I felt like it needed to be elaborated on because it didn't really make sense us rushing through it. None of the characters really had enough depth to really feel for them. I don't know I just feel a couple extra chapters could've made this book really really good.

Squeal!!!

I was very hesitant upon reading this book. But I am glad that I picked it up. Now, in order to get to the amazing details of this book we will have to get through the bad ones.

As an avid fan in fandoms who enjoys writing and reading fan fiction, I was a tad bit unimpressed with the writing. It read like a 18 year old writing fan fiction. Which isn't awful. It was... okay. Enjoyable. 

Some of the story felt like I was being loaded information on, piles and heaps of things that could have been put into the story over a longer time but due to a drawback of time and plot... it was washed over us. I truly skipped some pages because it felt more like a document than a story and I felt that the information was slightly unimportant.

I also disliked the relationship between Harry and Adam. Although I was rooting them on and squeezing like a little girl, and despite the explanation of genetics and actual biology and psychology... a lot of it felt too rushed. Obviously their relationship needs a lot more work. But the ending was fair. It left open the idea that there could be a second book ( but I wouldn't want to read it. )

The things I liked was the talk of sexuality and gender. It is important to feature these things and to have two different civilizations and ideas. I liked that it tested the characters and showed relationships inside and out.

I would have liked a more original idea of aliens rather than something I could come up with off of my head. It kind of felt made up, not in the way that you can necessarily think of it yourself on the spot, but as if it's a generic outline of something we have seen before. It wasn't fleshed out and thus read as... fan fiction. There was not a lot of world building.

All together I think it was an okay book. I didn't put it down ( although I did skip some pages ) and I remained interested in the characters toward the end. 

This book deserves more of a 3.5* than 4* but the erotica was high-key literally me and I loved it. 

Pick up the book if you're looking for a semi-short novella that reminds you of something YOU wrote.
