A novel about the life of Mrs. Lavinia (Vinnie) Warren Bump Stratton, the wife of Tom Thumb. I didn't realise before reading this that Tom Thumb had been a real person, nor that he had had a wife. This book was really enjoyable, although I've no idea how historically accurate. It details Vinnie's life from growing up on her parents farm, to being an entertainer on a river boat in pre Civil War times, to becoming one half of a famous duo who toured the globe meeting kings, queens, presidents and everyone in between. Definitely worth a read.
