Wow! This book is clearly just the beginning of a good trilogy. Anyone who read this book can sense that. Having a strong female character in a book is always appreciated.. Because there are way to many books out there with too dumb female leads who let people boss them around. Jane certainly knew that she was being slaved by her sisters but unlike other similar books, she had the lady balls to actually stand up to them. Plus what's there not to love about a woman who loves her work and also follows family values without losing herself along the way. Brock seemed like a good character. I'm not sure that I liked the way he dealt with his problems. I mean we all have faced the problem of saying yes just to please people in our life but Brock just seemed way more lost than Jane was. I mean for a good drama with romance, the male lead has to be an asshole but the reason behind Brock being an asshole to Jane at first didn't seem all that appealing. That was the only fault with the book. Other than that the story is original, the pace of the book is good and better yet, the story flows. I liked how the story was set in a modern day world with out-of-control media, manipulative people, business politics etc. but it also had a fairy tale sort of undertone which really pleases the readers. After reading this and knowing more about Bentley, I actually can't wait for the next book. I know it's going to be a while before it comes out but I really like Bentley's character more than Brock's. Yeah, and I just loved Diablo. I'm thinking of getting a cock myself. P.S.- I think people would be interested to know a little bit about Nadine Titus. She wasn't introduced until the last few chapters but I loved her character.

This review was originally posted on Latte Nights Reviews. I know this had a Cinderella theme which is why I thought I'd enjoy it. It was actually disappointing, to say the least. It was very boring and frustrating. Jane's sisters were so infuriating! I almost DNF'd because of them. I couldn't handle all the drama surrounding them and the main character. Out of all the characters, I only liked Brock's brothers and I'm looking forward to their stories. They made things very fun and were the only reason I kept reading. I wanted to like the romance but it was so very hard for me to do. Brock would treat Jane as if she were a real servant, almost like a slave. Then when the romance started, it was impossible for me to believe it. Overall, The Bachelor Auction felt dull and not entertaining at all. I will pick up the following books seeing as I loved Brock's brothers. I received an eARC from the publisher for free in exchange for an honest review. 4.5 Gotta love Nadine Titus

** spoiler alert ** Who doesn’t enjoy a Cinderella retelling? Surprisingly I was intrigued by the supporting characters more than the main characters. I guess I can’t expect too much from Boring Brock and Plain Jane. However the awards for best role goes to Bentley hands down. Oh I can’t wait to read more from him. Although I think the absolute best story will ultimately be Brant’s. Oh what a twist that was! I guess I should have expected something he was always so mysterious and broody lol. Nadine gets best female. She is what I aspire to be when I get older. Meddlesome, rich and a no nonsense boss chick! The thing that disturbed me the most was the age difference and the virginity. 22 and 35 year olds don’t have much in common and I say that as a 30 year old woman. I worked to get past that but her losing her virginity and him not noticing. Also her not mentioning it. Bizarre.

I loved the story but I absolutely hated Jane's sister and at first, I couldn't stand Brock's brothers but I looked past that and I found myself liking the story.

This was SO disappointing. I didn't like ANY of these characters – the hero is the biggest asshole alive and the heroine could not be more of a pushover. I got way too frustrated while reading this, but I surprisingly didn't DNF. Full review to come! Thanks to the publisher for generously providing me an ARC to review.
