Mian is a teenage single mother who got pregnant as a result of rape and as a result she is thrown out to the street by her aunt and uncle. Desperate, she turns to her father who is in prison for killing his best friend and decides to rob the house of her dad’s best friend which is now occupied by his son Angel. Thus begins a dangerous game between Mian and Angel. The plot is interesting and the ending was whoa.

i stayed up all night just so that i could finish this. that's how engaging and insane this book was. this was my first b.b. reid book and it definitely won't be my last. i loved every second of it, the characters, the drama, the smut scenes (!) -which were insane- and that ending phew, i don't think i've ever been more shook with an ending in a dark romance book before. i would have given it a perfect rating if it hadn't dragged a bit in the middle when things started becoming kind of repetitive, but the entire first half and ending were INSANE. definitely recommend this author if you are into dark romances, it literally has everything the genre has to offer. mian and angel are one fucking ruthless pair of gangsters, that's all i have to say. i'm starting the second book right now because i need to know what happens after that mindblowing ending.

I want to start by saying that I dove into this book completely blind. I hadn't read the blurb, or heard what the story was about. All I HAD heard was that it was amazing, and that I HAD to read it. Who am I to decline my darklings? (Yall know who you are!)

This book was a refreshing surprise. Yes, it is dark romance, but it doesn't fall into the traps of typicality and unoriginality. Every twist and turn was without warning, and completely enthralling. 

What the author did exceptionally well was portray the characters' internal battles. Fighting ones heart with one's mind - and sometimes with much difficulty. No matter how terrible each of the Knight boys are, they have nuzzled their way into my heart. 

Can I just mention that ending? Spoiler free. What the actual %#*^€@&!!! Did not see ANY of those things coming! You'd think the last 3% would not hold multiple plot twists eh? Hahaha... think again!
