This is the second book I've read from the writer. I enjoyed Equal of the Sun, but I enjoyed The Blood of Flowers more. It was a very, and at times very sad, story that I won't soon forget. My mother read this a few years ago as well and I enjoyed discussing this book with her. She really enjoys stories like this. I do think that the book ended abruptly, but I will still give it 5 stars nonetheless.
