I felt like this was a 4-4.5 read for about 70% of it. 
And then the last 30% did wonders, making it a 5 star read. 

I am a sucker for romantic comedies. I love everything about it. And this book delivered all of it. 

I felt for Catia but I believe my heart ached more for Josh. He always acted like nothing bothered him, pretending he wasn’t hurt or even trying to make excuses for others’ behaviour even though he knew they did him wrong. 
It’s the way he tried so hard to make it seem he didn’t let his past make him a bitter person with an emotional baggage that made him stand out for me. I somehow resonated with him. 

This book was my first one from this author and I am very impressed. I am excited to continue this series and hopefully get more Josh and Catia!

re-rating from 4.5 to 5 because i realized there's nothing that i didn't like from this book.

i really thought this was gonna be insta-love based on the blurb but i was so glad that it wasn't. 

they have such good chemistry together. they have seemingly similar background when it comes to relationships but there's a stark difference with how that changed their attitude towards new romantic relationships.

other things i love about this book:
- the way josh is so enamored by cat
- their !! group !! dynamics !!
- the hint of dani and dylan's book at the end

This was such a wholesome, feel good read. Josh and Cat are such likeable characters, but with Cat’s innate distrust in men, the discord in their relationship is inevitable. And who can really blame her when, let’s me real, (most) men are trash. 

The book had my heart the whole way through and Josh has now set a new bar for real life stable, well adjusted men.
