If you are someone who loves a well researched, thought-provoking read, this is not the book for you. Aside from the, honestly, irresponsible use of research ("Science" is in the title!), it relies a lot on heteronormative stereotypes (Why does every woman who's married have a husband? C'mon people!) and tired boy-girl tropes. I get that this is supposed to feel universal but it comes off as watered down and a bit outdated. This was honestly hard to get through.

That being said, I think you'll probably like this book if you're into the "Lean In" type of philosophy. May not be for you if you're a woman of color or are not wealthy or work outside of corporate America or if you're concerned with ageism, or if you are LGBTQ+, etc. etc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
