I know I’m not really the target audience for this since it’s labeled as a middle grade book however, I have quite a few comments.

I know I’m not really the target audience for this since it’s labeled as a middle grade book however, I have quite a few comments.

there’s too many character names to follow. Yes, Cora is the creature keeper and she will eventually give them names but it gets so confusing. Not to mention, there are quite a few side characters that are brought up here and there—even though they are not as relevant in the story.

There’s so many yet so little things happening in the book. Like we get to follow her everyday routine as a keeper but when something interesting happen, it’s written so vaguely or that the way they come up with solutions is very quick which sort of messes up the momentum(?) of the story.

the story actually has a potential but it just lacks in a lot of ways in terms of world building
