This got me back into romance when I read it (end of 2021), I literally couldn't put it down. The characters were interesting and well-written, and I was drawn into the story. There were a couple of things that I could have gone without ('my body betrays me' trope, miscommunication, etc), but those were more of a personal preference of tropes, and for the most part, could be ignored or skimmed over, so it didn't affect it all that much. I did, however, like how the FMC could hold her own against others, especially the way she did it. And a little mystery behind the MMC is always a good trope. I was surprised with how much I genuinely liked this book since it had been a while for the genre. But I'm happy I picked it up, and it's nice to be back on the hunt for a good romance.
