The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years

Wow. This book is a beautiful masterpiece connecting everything flawlessly. At first you may wonder about the pacing but everything connects exceptionally well towards the end. It makes you think alot about how our memory is the basis for rembrance of culture and traditional values, and without our memory all of this is lost. It also shows the other side where one side technology becomes so advanced that people end up keeping their sentiments aside to go further into the future, while on the other side it shows that humans themselves have been responsible for ending traditions and cultures of other humans since centuries if not more. Later the technological advances also displaces a hypocritical angle , ironic.

In the end it just makes you wonder how memory is the key for the cultural values of an individual or a group...yet how hypocritical we are as a species
