This is my first time reading a book from this author, and it surely won’t be my last. I don’t know how I haven’t read a book by her sooner. This book was so good and such a fun read! I thoroughly enjoyed the age gap and forbidden aspect! There was a ton of angst in this book which got to me, and I had to stop reading it a few times, but once I got over it, I sailed on through. This is easily a book that could be read in one sitting. It’s quite a fast read and pretty spicy! This book reminded me of Birthday Girl and You’re Dad Will Do, and I absolutely loved every second of it. I highly recommend it, especially if you love, age gap and forbidden romance.

I went into this book thinking it was going to be great because a lot of people said it was like birthday girl by Penelope Douglas and I loved that book and that author I couldn't make it to chapter 10 😃 the main problem I had with this book that really got me was the dads name who is souppoused to be the love interest I came here for the steam but I couldn't enjoy it because she kept saying his name which is Greg I'm sorry but I can not read a sex scene when the women is calling out the name Greg I don't know why but if your names Greg good for you I just don't like the name at all

The Doctor is the first book of the “Nashville Neighbors” series and I will say that I had a blast with this one here and I am probably just as surprised as anyone because this is a story that definitely pushes my boundaries. But I have found that I need to push and stretch my limits at times, and yeah you could say that this one did that but not quite in ways I was expecting. I will say I probably wouldn’t have dared pick this one up if it wasn’t for the gal at the “Book Refuge” a romance tuber on YouTube. She definitely convinced me that I needed to try this one and as a fan of dark romance at times, I definitely found myself intrigued.

The Doctor is a story about our lead heroine, Cassidy who has returned home from college and she has felt that it is time to move on from her current boyfriend. Its been tough for her, but they have been together for three years and she never thought this would be the result, but they have drifted apart and both have changed in ways that just aren’t compatible anymore. But what shocks her more….is the instant chemistry between Cassidy and her ex boyfriends father…Dr. Greg Lowe. They both know what they have is not “right” but they are willing to cross the line because they know they have something unique. But what their relationship is…whatever it may be…is forbidden and Greg has his relationship with his son to worry about. But Greg will have to make a choice….between the woman he is coming to love and the son he has fought to win his love and affection for years..

I will say that this story was something else!! LOL And I loved every part of the ride with Greg and Cassidy. Cassidy may be young not even 21 and Greg is in his early forties but Greg has a maturity experience and kindness that Cassidy is drawn to. Even though she has held a sweet affection for his son, she feels something deeper with his father. It was interesting to see them work their way through this forbidden love. And boy is there a LOT of sex ….GREAT sex, and of course, its Nikki Sloane so you just know that it will have some powerful imagery here, and even though I would have liked more emotional connection …the author really made their relationship work so well here. And man does Greg go all alpha male in the bedroom. But boy his sweetness and protective manner towards Cassidy was so heart warming. I just loved their interactions together especially outside the bedroom.

Overall I found The Doctor to be a story that will surprise and delight you in ways you don’t expect…so be prepared to go on an adventure through the forbidden with Greg and Cassidy!

Lordy, lordy... The spice was spicing 😂 Just top notch. Maybe at times, some things were overexplained but that I am willing to overlook. The scene with the prom dress... Don't walk, run. Run and read the book.

This was just a filler book and it was good. I am not really looking for a very very good plot or very hot steamy smut so I liked this. my three stars means I liked it!!! I am not disappointed at all!!! 

But if I'd criticize it base on what I really want, I do not know how to feel about the age gap and the relationship with Preston. It did seem like birthday girl and I did not connect with birthday girl :/ But since I am not really judging it and am not disappointed, I say it is a good read.

The plot? What plot. If you’re looking for really good spice read this. Characters were fine. Age gap romance isn’t really my thing but everyone raves about this book so I tried it. It was fine.

Con este libro pienso que… en vez de sentarte a llorar porque tu ex es una mierda y nunca se molestó en darte lo que merecías, sale mejor ir a cogerte a su papá y darte cuenta que estuviste perdiendo todo ese rato con el hombre equivocado.

Qué risa este libro. Veo a mucha a mucha decir que se parece a Birthday Girl; y si, la trama va de lo mismo… pero Pike dejó la vara muy alta y Jordan es una reina. Esta gente ni de lejos le llega a sus talones, y su único encanto son las escenas hot, del resto, no se pierden de mucho 🤷🏻‍♀️

Además, muchos de los pensamientos de Greg me hicieron sonar las alarmas en mi cabeza, así que eso de que Cassidy y Greg se conocieran desde un inicio, como que no me terminó de convencer. Y me dio la vibra, de que Greg parecía estar una competencia imaginaria con su hijo por Cassidy 🧍🏻‍♀️

Woo wee where there’s smoke there fire and this one is 🔥🔥🔥 I recommend if you are looking for fast burn, the spicy scenes do not disappoint. This was an age gap, slightly taboo twist tackled well. Loved the forced proximity near the end tying in H’s job. Only suggestion for improvement would be leaning into the whole doctor kink even more 😏

What a ride this book!

I thought the ending would be sad and not something i like. But let me tell you this story will take to alot of places and emotions in just a few minutes reading it.

I liked alot their relationship, but something that stuck to me on the first pages was that he's her boyfriend's dad. It was wild and not alot convincing for me at the begging

But a few pages in i was hooked by it

This was my first age gap romance read & it did not disappoint. However I feel like the story lacked a bit of depth it was very steamy & cuteS so if you’re looking for something that will give you Fanny flutters & not too deep then this is the book for you!

Ok so first off. Doctor kink? Check. Taboo? Check. F*** your dad trope? Check. Very decent smut? Check check. 95% was spice and the other 5% was plot. To some that balance is off but for myself it was exactly what I wanted and needed. It was delicious, I devoured it in one day in two sittings. The thing is I am not a fan of the pregnancy trope, which this is not, but is it weird I kinda wish it was???? I loved it and can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Uhmmmm hello??? Hot doctor and also your asshole ex's father? When I read the blurb, I was like "Bitch I'm in" and it seems like Nikki is also in. The steamy start was good, already explaining that the characters had been attracted to each other from the start. And one line that I really love was, "Both men had seen me naked before but now they are strangers" (I didn't remember it correctly but it goes something like that when she found out that Preston somehow "cheated" on her and Doctor knows about it). Anyway, fast and good read. Love it.
