Oh man. I really really liked this middle grade book. I mean just just this "But I was a dragon and a girl, and I was strong enough for all of it." This one quote just encompasses the whole book. It's about a dragon who is transformed into a girl by a mage, that decides her livelihood is chocolate and sets out to find an apprenticeship with one of the Chocolate Houses in the kingdom. Lord. I mean dragons, chocolate, and girl power. This was wonderful and so impactful. I highly suggest this to anyone who loves middle grade reads and wants to kick back with a book about how to find the strength and passion within yourself.

Aventurine is a brave young dragon ready to explore the world outside of her family's mountain cave . . . if only they'd let her leave it. Her family thinks she's too young to fly on her own, but she's determined to prove them wrong by capturing the most dangerous prey of all: a human. This was so cute! Exactly the kind of story I needed. Cannot wait for the next book as I adore all of the characters. Even if I did end up with a serious chocolate craving while reading it. 5 stars. Awesome.
