So says the lovely Amber to an extremely well-endowed Henry, two of Ansbro’s ripping characters who positively snort their way out of the pages and into the imagination. 

The fascinating cast is beautifully introduced, and quite how Ansbro conjured the name of Reverend Ulysses Drummond, I’ll never know, but it just … it just works.

Having read—and enjoyed—Ansbro’s Kinnara, I knew ‘The Fish…’ wouldn’t disappoint. And it didn’t. There’s something about his playful prose that ticks the boxes for me; it’s the colour that elevates what is an engaging storyline to even greater heights.

I read this story in little over 2 days—something rare for me considering the paucity of time. I distinctly remember muttering profanities to myself whenever anyone tried to call me away from this captivating story.
