I went into this book not really knowing what to expect and found myself falling in love with it. It is a book that  I find myself going back to almost annually and still being deeply engaged, almost captivated by the story. 

There are so many layers to the story and different stories all happening at once, but it is still easy  to follow and understand what is happening. I found myself being sucked in and feeling like I was a part of the story as I was reading it and even sometimes I will find myself thinking about it. 

Some scenes are comparable to that from a romance book while some break your heart so deeply you feel it in your soul.

Ok, I don't love any of his books as much as We Are the Ants, and tbh this is probably my least favourite of his BUT I dont say that in a negative way because his "not best" is still fucking great? But theres been so much writing improvement from this book to his newer ones holy shit. But honestly I still really liked this? And omg the epilogue fjghfjgdk bless up

This was a great book even though it was rather heartbreaking.

Phew, what a ride this story has been. When I started this, it seemed to me very slow and I didn't enjoy it very much, (probably also because it's so full of just--depression) the atmosphere of the story is depressing. Andrew, the main character was just so full of sadness. As I kept reading the story, I thought that I would just end up giving it 3 stars because it was filled with sadness and more sadness and all I wanted was answers. Then it went up to 4 stars then back to 3. As I was getting closer to the ending, I came to realize that this story has a huge meaning to it. I teared up and I can't say I loved it, but the meaning of it, I did love. In the end, this story deserved all 5 stars. Good job, Shaun David Hutchinson. Thank you for the journey.
