After kidnapping and torturing and killing a 2year old girl , The sisters, 10 year old laurel was imprisoned and 6 year old Rosie who was to young to be held responsible was given the new identity as Hazel. Now 19 years later Hazel and her boyfriend Jonny are staying in a hotel. Hazel's past is about to catch up with her as a 5 year old girl, Georgie has gone missing.

In the meantime Laurel is appealing to the parole board claiming the death of the young girl all those years ago was an accident. Her lawyer, also her uncle has been her only support throughout the years as her family changed identities and abandoned Laurel.

This book definitely makes you think about the justice system and kids who kill, and it really makes you think at what age a child should be held accountable for a terrible crime they committed.
This story was dark, i enjoyed getting both point of views from both the sisters.
