She has no idea that he is actually a Bernese Mountain Dog, but the handsome new vet, Dr. Adam Foxe is quick to tell her at her first appointment. Unfortunately Madeline is mortified because she and Adam already met when Mouse tackled him and knocked him into the mud. Adam suggests dog training classes at the local Y, and Madeline decides it is a good idea until she realizes that Adam is teaching the class. This is just one more thing for Madeline to feel bad about when there are so many other things in her life that are going wrong.

The Foxe and the Hound lives up the the tag of romantic comedy.  Almost everything in Madeline's life is funny, especially Mouse.  Both she and Adam are very likable characters with Madeline's quirks, a standout part of the novel. Several supporting characters play a part in bringing Adam's and Madeline's backstories to the fore.  While the book is filled with laugh out loud moments, the ones involving Mouse are the best parts of the story.  The romance plays a secondary role to the humor, but still brings the plot to a satisfying conclusion.  Overall, The Foxe and the Hound is an extremely entertaining novel.

Ridiculously adorable, hilarious, fun, and sexy!! The Foxe & the Hound is definitely a perfect summer read; It's light and highly entertaining. Really easy to finish in one sitting, or even just sporadically throughout the day. The characters in this book are extremely likable I fell for them instantly. I especially loved how the relationship developed between Adam and Madeleine. Plus this book also has an incredibly adorable Bernese Mountain Dog puppy named Mouse (who is obviously anything but) which made for a great variety doggy shenanigans and lots of laughter. personally, I think there is something about all of R.S Grey's books that make for an effortless read. Enjoyed this one immensely, my favorite of hers to date!

R.S. Grey never fails to write a funny, romance that keeps me entertained the whole way through. This is another favorite in the large pile of novels I have read from her. How I haven’t read this one before? I really have no idea.
Adam and Madeleine were adorable and I could relate to Madeleine so much it hurt. Adam being the new Vet in town (H.O.T) getting ran over by Madeleines dog Kicked off this story in a hilarious way. I love the relationship between the two main characters and how awkward and so much of an over thinker Madeleine was really resonated with me, because literally that’s me. 
If I had to pick one thing to critique was that 2/3 through the characters started to fall into the stereotypical romance couple where they are together but an outside force comes in and makes the woman second guess herself and the relationship and because communication isn’t a thing, everything goes down in shambles. I dislike that in romance and wish it would go away Lol 
Overall, I loved this and beside a few minor things, This book had everything I want in a rom com. 4/5 stars!

Very cute and very sweet! I will say this is more of a 4.5, because I wasn’t a big fan of the miscommunication in this one but I loved the dog aspect so much and I especially loved all the laugh out loud moments with Adam and Madeleine!

I know when I pick up one of R.S. Grey's books, I'm going to find a fun, swoony and sexy book. The Foxe & the Hound was no exception. It's not surprising I devoured this book in nearly one sitting.

I'm a total sucker for the "meet cute" in books, movies, tv shows and, yes, even real life. Madeline and Adam's had me literally laughing out loud.  One of my other favorite things in books is when pets have so much personality they basically become another character in the book. Mouse fit the bill. This isn't particularly surprising since Adam is a veterinarian, but still. I adored it. The Foxe & the Hound also contained one of my favorite tropes — fake it till you make it — so it's no wonder I enjoyed this one as much as I did.

Despite Madeline and Adam getting off to a SERIOUSLY rocky start on their first meeting — and the one after that — I loved them together. I was shipping them from the very start. I was gleeful when Adam proposed Madeline play his girlfriend in exchange for her helping him find a house to buy. It's a win for everyone! (Especially me.) These two had crazy chemistry, witty banter and some hilariously awkward moments and I was totally into all of it.

I loved The Foxe & the Hound! Thanks to R.S. Grey's humor, swoons and sexy times, I love getting lost in her books. This one was no exception. I can't wait to see what she gives us next!

Wow! Just WOW! R.S. Grey continues to blow me away with her romantic comedies!! This just may be my favorite yet!! Yes, I realize I say that a lot when it comes to this brilliant writer... but I just can't help myself! Every book just keeps getting better and better!!

Madeleine is basically a more fun, more adorable and more entertaining version of me. She's clumsy, silly, quite blunt at times, and outright adorable! I fell in love with her instantly. She's the exact character that I love reading about so much. I'll take a clumsy, quirky, adorable character over a "perfect" one any day! Madeleine is a real estate, though, admittedly, not a very good one. She's only sold one house in the past several months, and that was to her brother and sister-in-law. Her boss puts her on probation and basically insists that she prove herself, or her job will be terminated.

Adam is the new guy in town. He's recently moved to the small town of Hamilton from Chicago, after suffering a pretty bad breakup. He's a successful vet in town, and a gorgeous one at that, so you can imagine the attention he gets from the local ladies. But Adam isn't thinking about a relationship. After being cheated on by his ex-fiance, he's dealing with the aftermath and dating is the last thing on his mind.

As you can probably guess, Madeleine and Adam meet... and that's where alllllll of the fun begins. These two have the most adorable chemistry, silly banter, and outright quirky encounters together! Every time they're within a few feet of each other, I was laughing at their antics. I just adored these two together from the very beginning. And I also must mention the slow burn... but it's surely slow, and it's surely a super-hot burn! It takes a while for these two to connect physically... but once they do, look out!! It's steamy, hot, and heavy from that point forward. Talk about the swoons!!

"That kiss was nothing - pfft, less than nothing."
"Nothing?" he asks, sidling every closer.
"Less than nothing? Huh."
My eyes have to be as round as saucers. I'm scared of what he's capable of - or maybe I'm curious.



When it comes to writing romantic comedies such as this one, R.S. Grey is the Queen. In my eyes, she can do no wrong. I've loved absolutely every book I've read of hers, and each new one I read I claim to be my new favorite. They just keep getting better and better!! If you enjoy romantic stories like this, filled with the perfect amount of swooning, off-the-charts chemistry, silly banter, and awww moments, this is one you won't want to miss!

I can always count on R.S. Grey to deliver a fun, laugh-out-loud rom-com, and she doesn’t disappoint with her newest release, The Foxe & the Hound! This is the classic “pretend to be in a relationship” trope, and R.S. Grey did a fabulous job with it. It’s over the top, hilarious, and adorably awkward – I had such a fun time reading it!

To say Madeleine’s life is a Hot Mess would be an understatement – she’s a real estate agent who’s only sold one house over the course of the year (and it was to her brother and his wife) so she’s currently on probation, she’s way behind on rent and has been bribing her landlord for more time with homemade cookies, and the dog she adopted that she thought would be the size of a mouse (hence, the name Mouse), is growing to be the size of a house. Oh, and the hot new vet is not a fan of hers because she let Mouse maul him and get mud all over his suit. But he’s new to town, so many he needs a new house that she should help him purchase?

Dr. Adam Foxe has just moved to Texas after leaving his cheating fiancée, but he’s not happy to be there. The weather is awful, his mother is nagging on him to move on, and some rude lady let her dog ruin his suit and make him late for work. But who should happen to show up as his first client of the day but the aforementioned rude lady, Madeleine? They get off on the wrong foot, but Adam sees an opportunity he takes immediate advantage of – have Madeleine pose as his fake girlfriend to get his mother off his back and he’ll let her help him buy a house. Win-win, right?

She wasn’t supposed to charm them; she was just supposed to be a warm body. I needed a living, breathing female to get my family off my back, and now she’s wooed them all and probably made my life ten times worse. I won’t hear the end of Madeleine and Mouse. Even the alliteration adds to my annoyance at this point.

Things don’t go as planned when they spend more time together and the tension between them rises. Adam is vehemently against getting into another relationship, especially so soon… but maybe Madeleine is the exception. What ensues are hilariously awkward moments, witty banter, and a healthy dose of one giant, fluffy Bernese Mountain dog. It’s a rom-com with an adorable dog – need I say more? If you’ve loved R.S. Grey’s previous books and are in the mood for something quick, funny, and light-hearted, I highly recommend this book!
