REVIEW WRITTEN DURING READING 

This is a really easy book to read. I started it and it wasn't difficult to get into the book. I like the characters and despite wanting to know more about Jackson and Caleb than Tony I still like his character. 

I am more than halfway done with the book and honestly, this book made me a bit emotional in some parts. Mostly when Hayden talks about her dad and the interactions she has had with him. It reminds me a lot of the interactions I have with my own dad and it also reminds me of how I feel a lot of the time. Her father is pretty similar to mine and it just hits me where it hurts. We are not rich by any means but I know how it feels when your father doesn't approve of what you want in life or in above cutting you off or laughing at you when you want to be independent. Either way, I get it and I know many people out there understand that too. A part of me identifies with Hayden and I like that.

Both Tony and Hayden have a very strong opinion on love and relationships. It makes me laugh because we all know they all gonna end up together.

I'm so excited for Jackson's story and Caleb's story. I will say that I guessed how Jackson's story was going to start. Because when he said he only like Ellie as a friend and he's gonna keep it that way I was like okayyyyyy once she tries to move on because you won't pay any attention to her despite her waiting for years you will get jealous and all of a sudden be interested. Something like that. And from the sypnosis of the next book, it seems like I'm somewhat right or partially. 

Okay now about Caleb. He is such a player and I can't wait to see who the girl is that changes his mind on his ways. I have no problem with the way he is I just don't particularly agree with all his opinions but I'm very excited to see more of his character. Gracie seems like a very good possibility because of how they interact. I will say I would be disappointed if it turned out to not be her. But they also mentioned a Balley and something about her. I'm not sure. but those are the only people I can think of right now. And if it's not one of them then it's someone we don't know about, I think. I also think Caleb is a deeper character than they are letting on because he just seems like that type of person. I'm very excited for his story as well as Jackson's. I really hope Eille makes him work for it.

He's a virgin? Huh, I would've never guessed. He said he hooked up with a few people but I just assumed and also the girlfriend that he had Sophie. Well damn. Okay. She will be his first. 

Okay, now I'll say I would be extremely disappointed if Caleb's book didn't turn out to be about Gracie. Extremely. Ahhhhhh Caleb is so into her, I can't.

I'm so damn tired but I only have 6 chapters left. 

Okay, I'll admit I will be so mad if Caleb's book isn't about Gracie and I will be very doubtful about reading it. I'll try though. If it's about Balley I think I'll try to give her a chance. I saw some comments on the book and people want it to be Balley but I really really don't. I 100% hope it's Gracie. I think I saw one other person that agrees with me. But I'll be very unmotivated to read the book if it's not Gracie.

Okay, I've got one last thing to say about Caleb.

I really don't know who it's gonna be about. Balley or Gracie. It's most likely one of those two but it could also be someone we don't know yet and the author is just trying to throw us in thinking otherwise. Either way, I'd prefer for it to be someone else than Balley. I might regret saying that later if it turns out to be Balley and I actually like her. I just really don't want it to be her. I'll be so disappointed. Well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see but for now I'll read Jackson's book because I'm so excited about it. I'm excited to learn more about this character. 

Anyway, I think this book was alright overall and it didn't have a big ending it was more chill and subtle but I think I preferred it that way with these characters mostly because of the way they viewed love and relationships. A big fight wouldn't fit them.

the romance just wasn’t hitting for me at ALL. maybe it’s because the age difference was the cause of conversation every other page and it just read too young for me & i’m putting the year as 2006 so it doesn’t count towards my reading challenge for this year
