Uff. I guess so far I am in the minority here. I am quite disappointed with The Ghost Garden. I guess because I expect too much. So, when reading the premise of this book, I was sure that this book is going to be creepy. It is not. I mean, the atmosphere of this book is eerie. It has the chilly feeling when I read it. But that's all about it, nothing too creepy. I guess it is great if you want your kids to be able to sleep at night :D The book kept me guessing, so I kept turning those pages. Our MC, Fran is a likeable character and her friendship with Leo. I also appreciate that the setting is during the time just before the WW1 happened, it gave a great intro for the younger readers about this era. Two stars for the page turner, for the settings and for the illustrations by one of my favourite illustrators, Kaja K.
