I definitely did enjoy this, but I feel like the longer the series goes the less engaging the books are.. Overall a decent series, but not one I'll come back to.
I'm proud I could foresee the ending halfway through this book, but nevertheless I enjoyed it. A nice conclusion to the saga!

Good, not amazing, entertaining. I feel it could be more, but I guess being a middle age book , it left me with the sense that it could had so much more potential .
3.75 Stars My ratings throughout this series have been pretty consistent. This time around I did enjoy the story but I just didn't feel like there were any surprises. Well, except for that one. (view spoiler)[ Maugris anyone? I never expected that but also, they never actually dealt with him either. (hide spoiler)] The characters acted exactly as I expected them to. The story wrapped up the way I had expected it to. But honestly, as it's a mid-grade, I feel like it's the right level for its target audience. Overall it was a good ending to an enjoyable series. I'm glad I took the time to read it.
I did enjoy the last installment of this book. I would say my major issue overall with this entire series is that even though the characters seem to grow in age, on paper that doesn't seem to translate well. I just felt like the characters still seemed more childish than anything.
