This was an incredibly creepy and and even scary horror novel.  The terror began the setting and minor built to a horrifying climax.  I am very glad I do not have a basement.  The conclusion was unexpected, and kept me awake.  Do not read this book in bed if you have to get up for anything the next day.  You will either stay up all night reading, or you will be too afraid to turn out the lights.  I enjoyed this book tremendously.

As a bit of a horror-fanatic, I love stumbling upon a story that actually frightens me, and Basement Apartment definitely hit the mark! It’s been too long since I’ve read something that made my hair stand on end and cold chills run down my back. The only negative I could possibly find was that I hadn’t read it sooner!
Seriously, this is absolutely a must read for anyone who calls themselves a horror fan.
