I just couldn't stay with this one because the writing style was just so over the top, long sentences, long asides, enough already. I'll admit that i prefer and appreciate lean, sparse prose, which this isn't.

this book gets only 3 1/2 while i wish i could give it more. i picked it up because i was interested in the process of how organs are transferred from the donor body to the recipient. the science of this novel was exceptional, however i felt that excessive repetition and odd descriptions took from that appeal. the depictions of female characters felt like they were written from a masculine view- focusing on the “curve on the breast” or the “bounce of the buttock” which i found completely unnecessary in regards to the actual character, distracting, and honestly quite uncomfortable. it got to the point where i found myself extremely frustrated at times, because the descriptions took away from the writing.
