A great way to start the trilogy. 

I really liked the fact that the author made us think about the real "good" and "evil" through a lot of analogies and by setting the context where Mahadev himself is torn apart in choosing the right side and trying to be free from bias, it really ended on a high note.
Really excited to see what the second book holds in store.

I was really interested in reading this considering this was a book that most of my friends had read and largely liked. I liked the fantasy mythology effect but I just couldn't get into it. Most of the time I was wandering off thinking how awesome this story would be if it was set in a post apocalyptic nuclear warfare world. The plot was interesting and the set paces fast; sometimes too fast for my pace but it still couldn't hold my attention. It seemed like there were no tense set pieces; everything was resolved too damm soon.The characters were flat and not at all well developed.The last few chapters, especially were very hastily written and seemed really rushed. Even though the story has a lame cliffhanger and a sequel; I really am in no mood to read any further. But I guess the Completionist in me will have to digress.

I think it's have been a trend to criticize Indian writers by Indians, they think doing this will make them cool.
In my honest opinion, this book is a golden mile-stone in the history of Indian Fictional Novel world. It is tremendously good and I was in no mood to keep it down at any point.
I will not say much.
It's a must if you love a good fictional, mythology, thriller, action packed, character development, mystry novel.

Being an atheist, I loved the book. It portrayed Shiva as a human being and not as a GOD which was a great thing. The immortals of Meluha is an action packed novel with action ripping off every page.

It was so good. I read different genres, so I didn't find it captivating, but for someone interested in Indian mythology, this is it.
