This book was alright. It was kind of slow moving and didn’t pick up pace until the end. I loved the plot twist though.

Favourite book of all time, was extremely fast paced but was very intriguing. The ending was a bit boring but had some fun twists.

           I received an e-copy of this one from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. 

I honestly really don’t know how to feel about this one. I had so many problems with it but there were also a couple of aspects I did like. First off, it was more contemporary than I would have liked. I wanted the more thrilling aspects to be more the focus of the book. 

In terms of the characters. I found them pretty one dimensional. They were all nothing but their struggles, no personality beyond what they’ve been through. 

The whole twist being blamed on a mental illness also didn’t sit well with me at all. I really felt for Danny but PTSD isn’t something to be used for entertainment in this way. 

The things I did like about this one though: I was intrigued as to what was going to happen throughout the story. I really appreciated the fact that there was a gay character but he wasn’t the stereotypical ‘gay character’. 

Overall, I didn’t hate this one at all but I couldn’t overlook the issues and rate it any higher unfortunately.
